Physiotherapist
Therapist

My interest in physical therapy began during my own years as an athlete and the injuries that came with them. Through those experiences, I first became acquainted with physical therapy as a patient. My particular interest in manual therapy was sparked by my own treatment experiences, when I received tangible relief from my long-term ailments. My background in soccer has given me valuable experience regarding the impact of properly targeted treatment on training and physical performance. Soccer also became a natural pathway to furthering my studies in physical therapy. During my studies, I worked with middle school soccer players, among others, guiding the rehabilitative training of injured players. My thesis focused on the prevention of ACL injuries among women’s soccer players in the National League. I completed my thesis in collaboration with the Finnish Football Association.

Toward the end of my studies, I visited the Helsinki Physiotherapy Clinic for the first time and was immediately drawn to the clinic’s unique approach and values, which strongly aligned with my own. My internship at HFTK gave me the opportunity to get a closer look at its operations, after which I quickly knew that I wanted to continue my professional development and work at the clinic even after completing my studies.

Working as a physical therapist is, above all, a passion and a constant source of interest for me—and now I get to do it as my profession. My strengths lie in the assessment and treatment of lower limb conditions, but all clients suffering from musculoskeletal disorders are welcome at my practice. Through my background in sports and work, I have also gained experience in planning and implementing therapeutic exercise programs. My working method is based on a solution-focused approach, utilizing the process of clinical reasoning. My goal is to understand the body as a whole, identify the mechanisms underlying the symptoms, and develop solutions that restore the body’s natural function.

A warm welcome to my office!
