Kati Malinen

Physiotherapist
Therapist

Kati, who graduated as a physiotherapist in 2018, spent part of her physiotherapy training in Canada at university, where she found it particularly rewarding to study musculoskeletal injuries and movement analysis. She started her career working in orthopaedic and neurological rehabilitation. A keen interest in musculoskeletal problems led Kati to move from the hospital world to reception work.

In 2021, Kat was brought to Helsinki Physiotherapy Clinic by the desire to deepen her knowledge of the clinical reasoning process and the desire to learn manual therapy skills.

-Working at the Helsinki Physiotherapy Clinic has taught me the importance of the body's exercise capacity and movement requirements in rehabilitation processes. Here I have also had the opportunity to be in the front seat in learning the skills of manual therapy. To this expertise I have been able to combine my own experience, gained through years of playing basketball and my current hobby of climbing.

-I always try to open and illustrate to the client the findings and the progress of the rehabilitation process, so that the client can observe the body's functioning outside the practice. In this way, a working partnership is established based on the client's own observations and experiences and the professional skills of the physiotherapist.
