Satu Palo

OMT physiotherapist
Music physiotherapist

Sadu has over thirty years of experience working with clients with musculoskeletal problems.

Satu graduated as a physiotherapist in 1988 and as an OMT physiotherapist in 1999. Gradually, over the years, Satu's areas of expertise have developed to include neck, head and upper limb pain, chest and lower back pain and nerve tissue problems for a variety of clients.

In 2004, musicians entered Sadu's life. She has found it inspiring, interesting, challenging and rewarding to dive into the body issues of musicians. It has been interesting to help with the balancing of body and instrument, which in the end is always a compromise. Satu has learned a huge amount from musicians during her career and the learning continues. Satu was awarded the title of Music Physiotherapist in 2010 and the Finnish Society of Music Medicine's Music Medicine Award in 2021. Satu also teaches at the Sibelius Academy and Helsinki Conservatory.

Listening to the client with a sensitive ear, respect and enthusiasm for the rehabilitation process together with the client are the basic pillars of physiotherapy for Sadu, combined with strong professional skills.

For Sadu, his main task is to help the client to continue living as symptom-free as possible, knowing what they can do to support their own body.
